Breaking Change has secured a seven-figure funding package led by the Development Bank of Wales and Haatch, helping us grow the team, keep building, and get into studio pilots.

The short version
Breaking Change has secured more than £1 million in funding to accelerate growth and bring our platform closer to launch.
The package includes £735k in equity investment, led by the Development Bank of Wales and Haatch, alongside an Innovate UK Growth Catalyst grant.

What we're building
We're building software infrastructure for the complex systems that underpin modern games: vehicles, weapons, progression, economies, and all the other good stuff that usually eats months of bespoke engineering.
The platform combines simulation technology with AI-assisted authoring, helping studios build deeper gameplay systems faster, safely, and with less pain.

Who backed it
The Development Bank of Wales Technology Venture Investments team has invested £350k from the Wales Flexible Investment Fund, with Haatch contributing £285k.
The round also includes Saola Ventures and games industry angel Dr Tomas Rawlings. Earlier support from Media Cymru, Innovate UK, the UK Games Fund, and the Royal Academy of Engineering helped us get here.

What comes next
The funding helps us expand the team, push our simulation and AI R&D forward, and begin pilot projects with game studios during 2026.
